Meetings are held on the Fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. September through June, at Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 9833 Harford Rd., Carney, Maryland 21234
The Council meets with the Precinct Commander and other police personnel to bridge any gap existing between the community and the Police Department. This provides an open forum where citizens may bring attention to neighborhood problems and have them addressed with appropriate joint police and community cooperation. Speakers and demonstrations examine topics of mutual interest such as Child Abuse, Gun Safety, Drugs, Juvenile Services, Home Security, etc.
Council members work together to raise funds to provide support as needed by the precinct and other worthwhile community projects. Members may enroll in the Baltimore County Citizens Police Academy, a fifteen week mini police-training course and may also participate in the “Ride-Along” Program which enables them to observe, first hand, police activities and become personally familiar with the Precinct officers.
